Uses for AdScripter are unlimited as is the potential for significant online revenue generation. Travidia works closely with our partners to provide the very best cutting-edge solutions for advertisers.

Below are a few core components of the AdScripter platform.

Business Directory Listings

The base component of AdScripter is a business directory element. Advertisers can post the following information as part of a basic listing:

  • Business Name
  • Address
  • Phone Number
  • Map & Driving Directions
  • Email a Friend

  • Business Logo
  • Print Ad Online (link)

  • Microsite (mini-website)

The enhancement components of AdScripter can be turned off or on at the media groups discretion. The newspaper “Primary Administrators” can select which advertisers have particular enhanced components allowing for various up sell opportunities.

Microsites

The microsite component of AdScripter allows advertisers to create a one page mini-website to promote their business. The microsite is beneficial to those advertisers who have no official website and equally beneficial to those that do as it provides a nice introduction to their company and allows for much higher visibility in the marketplace and potential for more official website traffic and sales.

Microsites can be accessed a number of different ways, through the business directory listing link as shown in Fig. 2 above, through a custom URL (ex. www.newspaper.com/ABC_Advertiser) and through “Sales & Special Offers”.

Sales & Special Offers

The “Sales & Special Offers” component of AdScripter was designed as an external traffic driver and advertiser up sell module. If an advertiser elects to take advantage of this feature then they can input a number of call-to-action text messages in their administration page promoting a special sale or event which is promoted in several online locations.

Fig. 4 – Example of "Sales and Special Offers" page

In Fig. 4 shown above you see an example of the “Sales & Special” offers page within the AdScripter vertical. In this instance auto dealers place a small snippet of text regarding a promotion or sale that appears on the site under its own tab (ex. Hot Auto Deals).

Fig. 5 – Example of "Sales and Special Offers" on advertiser microsite

The “Sales & Special Offers” information is also displayed on the advertiser microsite in the left rail as shown in Fig. 5 above. When an advertiser enters information into the system they select a start and end date for the promotion, when the promotion date ends for a particular event it drops off of all public viewable locations.

The newspaper may also choose to promote the “Sales & Special Offers” outside of the AdScripter vertical and on other external pages of their website. In Fig. 6 below we see a situation where an AdScripter auto vertical is promoted via “Hot Auto Deal” towers on the automotive section of the newspaper website. All links take the user directly to that particular advertiser microsite. Towers are placed by pasting in a simple JavaScript code snippet generated from the AdScripter system.

AdScripter Mapping

The AdScripter mapping component is truly unique. Depending on the type of application AdScripter is designed for, advertisers in a common category/area are grouped and the consumer is presented with a map of the like advertisers in the area. These maps allow the user to see the advertiser location and when that location is moused over, the user is presented with advertiser information which can then be clicked through to their microsite.

In addition to the map shown above, each advertiser is also given their own unique map and driving directions map capabilities which is linked from their listing and microsite.
